About Dawn M Garcia
Dawn earned a Bachelor's
degree in English and a minor in Psychology from The University
of Iowa. She also received an Associates degree in Liberal
Arts from Kirkwood Community College.
When her first child
was born, Dawn started her own business, Rugged Peak Design
- a freelance graphic and website design company. Alongside
her booming design business, Dawn was freelance writing
for numerous agency's and company's in the Fort Collins and
Denver area until they moved to rural Nebraska. She then picked
up writing and editing jobs with local newspapers and magazines.
Aside from freelancing, Dawn owns an in-home
daycare and works part-time at the public library. At the library,
Dawn is currently working on a library literary program bringing
in local and national authors to speak and read their literature.
Dawn lives in rural Nebraska with her husband,
three children, a spoiled yellow lab and two spoiled cats.
She is writing her second novel.
